George Nobechi is a Tokyo-born, Japanese/Canadian photographer. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in History/International Relations, which has fostered an interest in life in different regions of the world. When he was 19 his father suddenly passed away, changing the course of his life and informing his future work; he left Vancouver and supported himself and his family with a 14-year career in the business world in Tokyo and New York. In 2008 he embarked on a solo journey around the world through 14 countries on six continents; his quest was to find peace with the death of his father. Influenced by both fashion photographers and internet bloggers, New York native photographer Chloe Rice gives photojournalism a unique editorial feel.
But in addition to specific artists and authors, it is easy to see from her photos that she could acknowledge the entire world as her inspiration.
Chloe sees trees as “bird umbrellas” and rain clouds as “just parts of the sky that like to laugh until they cry”. In her mind cars all smile and “everything looks prettier with eyelashes". Luckily, Chloe has a series of cameras to capture all of this imagination that she sees.
