The Candid Frame #7 - Jeff Curto


Jeff Curto is Professor of Photography at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, where he has taught since 1984. He is also an accomplished photographer who for the last fifteen years has been working on a long-term project documenting the urban and natural landscape of Italy.

Curto is also the host of two photography podcasts including a History of Photography, a recording of his in-classroom lectures and Camera Position which focuses on the creative aspects of photography. His comprehensive knowledge of photography combined with a keen eye has led him to produce a unique series of images of an oft-photographed subject. The Candid Frame #6 - D Stevens


D Stevens has enjoyed an award winning career as a photojournalist and as a still photographer for major motion pictures. From photographing war and conflict in Belfast and Beruit to documenting films such as Boys in the Hood, Devil in the Blue Dress and Love and Basketball, D. brings a unique perspective to his work. He describes himself as a storyteller with a camera, a description that is even more appropriate today as he begins a new phase in his career as a screenwriter and film director.

The Candid Frame #5 - Howard Bingham


Howard Bingham is a photographer who's career has spanned over forty years. The images that have produced by his camera have appeared in Sports Illustrated and Life Magazine. However, he is most known for being the personal chronicler of the life and times of Muhammad Ali, the Greatest. His charm and his ability make people comfortable in front of the lens is one his greatest assetts as a photographer.

The Candid Frame #4 - Vincent Versace


Vincent Versace is a photographer with over 25 years of experience who takes a real-world approach to photography. His work as photographer and digital innovator is apparent in his work capturing Hollywood stars and shooting nature's beauty, as well as in his constant pursuit of perfecting the digital photographic process. Versace was the recipient of the 1998 Computerworld Smithsonian Award in Media Arts and Entertainment; his work is part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution's Museum of American History. Versace's work has been featured in numerous magazines including Professional Photographer, Petersen's Photographic, Popular Photography Digital Buying Guide, Shutterbug, Digital Camera and PC Photo Magazine.

The Candid Frame #3 - Daniel Milnor



Daniel Milnor specializes in long-term, black and white documentary work relating to a variety of topics including, Sicilian Easter Processions, Big-Wave Surfing, Portuguese Bloodless Bullfighting, California Off-Highway Vehicular Recreation Parks, Exotic Game Ranches as well as Los Angeles Urbanization. He has worked in the newspaper and magazine fields and was a photographer specialist for Eastman Kodak Company. He was recently featured on www.zonezero.com and was a finalist for the 2003 Honickman First Book Prize in Documentary Photography for his work in Sicily.

The Candid Frame #2 - Mark Edward Harris



Mark Edward Harris has visited and photographed in over sixty countries. His editorial work has appeared in publications including Life, Stern, Islands, Spa, Playboy, Vogue, Elle, People, American Photo, The New York Times, The London Times, The Los Angeles Times Sunday Magazine as well as many in-flight magazines. His commercial clients range from The Gap for his fashion photography to cruise lines and airlines for his travel photography.

He has published several book including “Faces of the Twentieth Century: Master Photographers and Their Work” recording in both words and pictures many of the great names in photography. His book “The Way of the Japanese Bath” (R.A.M. Publications) was published in February 2003 to coincide with a touring exhibition beginning at APEX Fine Art in Los Angeles. His third book “Mark Edward Harris: Wanderlust (R.A.M. Publications) was released in November 2004. Images in that book led Mark to being named “Photographer of the Year” at the 2004 Black + White Spider Awards.

Ibarionex Perello is a photographer, writer and educator with over twenty of years of experience in the photographic industry. He is the producer and host of The Candid Frame: A Photography Podcast. His articles and photographs have appeared regularly in numerous magazines including Digital Photo Pro, Outdoor Photographer, Shutterbug and Rangefinder magazines. He is an adjunct professor at the Art Center College of Design and teaches several online photography course through Better Photo.com. He is currently on the board of DIMA (Digital Media Association and he is one of the co-founders of Alas Media, a multi-media production company. He lives in Altadena, California.
