When artist, photographer, filmmaker, and curator Lee Shulman discovered a collection of abandoned family photographs, he began to see something more than a group of anonymous snapshots. The images became the foundation for The Anonymous Project, an evolving collection that explores the memories, relationships, and everyday moments preserved in photographs whose original subjects and stories have been lost. What began as a fascination with found photographs has grown into a much larger exploration of photography, memory, and the stories we attach to images.
