Recently Optic 2018 was held in New York City bringing together dozens of talented photographers. The event included presentations by several exceptional photographers including Keith Carter, Joyce Tenneson, Ben Lowy, Ira Block, Brian Smith and Katrin Eismann.
I usually lament finding out about such gatherings, because I'm unable to attend, which was the case this year. I draw a lot of inspiration from watching photographers share their images and talk about their work and process.
Thankfully, many of these presentations were recorded and are now being shared for free on B&H Photo's YouTube channel, providing you and I an opportunity to learn from some very talented photographers.
Covering a diverse ramge of topics, the videos feature presentations on seeing color and enhancing creativity, photographing in extreme environments, photographing in different cultures and a whole lot more. Its hours of valuable content. However, unlike content on Netflix, I don't recommend bingeing on these. You are going to want to take your time with many of them.
